Recipe for success

Success has a recipe. Like a great meal, success can be perfected if the right ingredients are applied in the right way. Imagine If you were cooking a meal from a cookbook and you got all the ingredients and followed the instructions as stated in the book. The finished product would be a great tasting meal. Success is the same way. You must follow the recipe. How do we do this? Exchange the cookbook for a success person. Who do we know that is successful? What did they do to achieve that success? What recipe did they follow? Let successful people be your cookbook and follow their recipes for success. Could be someone famous. Even the local store owner whose business is thriving.

Could you imagine if you decided to just go into the cupboard and just took out whatever you had in there and just dashed it together to try to make the same meal without even looking at the recipe? It would not come out the way it should. If you seem to be failing then you must stop your approach and try different approaches. For as sure as success has a recipe so does failure.

Start investigating successful approaches to achieving your goals. That may mean you have to let go of friends who may not share your uplifted level of thinking. The bookstores have thousands of books on success. Buy one and read it. buy two, three if you have to. If you want to be successful then it's better to be around people that will uplift you as oppose to bring you down. This can happen in a way whereas you don't have to do anything other than pursue your success. people whose thinking are adverse to your success eventually distance themselves from you or be inspired by your example to reach their own goals.

Either way start following the recipe from those who are successful and your success is predictable. Much like how a great meal when the instructions to prepare it is followed correctly. So whoever it is that has the level of success that you want. then talk t them, ask them questions. If they are not accessible then research their lives or read their books on success if they authored any. Do the work, follow the instructions and you will produce a delicious dish called Success.

The Secret to Success.

Stop keeping your awesomeness to yourself. It's a gift and a gift is something that is most effective when given or shared. How many of us have a gift or an affinity for something? Some of us can effect the very room we walk into just by walking into it. Some of us always know the right things to say when someone needs to hear it. Some of us have knowledge from years of experience that could benefit others. The list is endless.

What is your awesomeness? Or as my son likes to say "Genius" What is your genius? What are you better at than anyone else? Or at least what is the thing that you're best at when compared to all the things you're good at? That is what you must share with the world. God didn't give it to you for it to lay dormant inside of you. Share it! express it!, use it! Are you good with your hands? Are you a great cook? Do you have a great singing or even speaking voice? Do you know the history of the Lord of The Rings trilogy? Whatever it is, it is of use to someone somewhere. So start a blog, open a business, get a Facebook fan page, talk to people, offer your services, whatever it is you need to put this talent into use.

When you start doing what you should be doing, everything you need to do it better, bigger and more awesome will be given to you by the universe. But first you must get moving. Do not let your talent go to waste. Bring Joy to the world with it and that joy will be reciprocated.

Habit of Excellence

You've always heard the word "habit" usually after the word "bad". It's use that way so much that we don't even need the word "bad" before it anymore. Anytime someone says habit it's automatically associated with something bad or negative. Well, change your thinking and start practicing GOOD habits. By definition a habit is an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary. Which means if we practice a pattern of excellence, then excellence becomes our involuntary approach to everything. So every day practice good habits like working to the best of your ability to complete your tasks, Looking at every obstacle as an opportunity to learn and grow, Performing at your best not part of the time but all of the time. Seeing the life you want and consistently working towards it, Getting up in the morning and being thankful for your life, focus on all the things you have in your life as oppose to things you don't have, being on time, gaining knowledge, rejecting negative attitudes and energy, exercising, eating healthy, smiling, finding something to like about everyone. These things and a lot more are common practices for people who are winners, achievers and successful. So if you want to be successful in life, then practice successful habits. This way anything you do in life you will involuntarily be successful at, and that is a GOOD thing.

How badly do you want it?

How badly do you want to accomplish your goals? Badly enough to put aside time everyday to work towards it? Badly enough to make sacrifices for it? How much does it mean to you to get what you want out of life? If you "kinda" want it, then you will never achieve it. Make a decision to absolutely want it, then move into action. Be willing to work for your goals and I promise you that it will come to pass. But waiting around expecting something to happen to move you into action will never make you successful. The only thing that has to happen to move you into action and ultimately into your success, is for you to make a DECISION to want it bad enough. Now ask yourself...How badly do I want to be successful?

How To Write Your Own Positive Affirmations

What Are Affirmations?

Affirmations are simply statements that we declare to be true. Of course, these statements can be both positive and negative. But, within holistic health circles it's generally agreed upon that positive affirmations tend to contribute to our mental and spiritual wellbeing whereas negative affirmations wreak havoc on the wellbeing of our spirits.

Positive affirmations are most often used to help us think and feel more positive, empowered, and in control of particular situations, especially negative ones. On a deeper level, positive affirmation are meant to alter our existing thought patterns and ultimately beliefs.
Often, those who are just starting their personal development journey look for existing affirmations to apply to their unique situations. The problem with this approach, however, is that they may or may not find a set of affirmations that suite their unique problems. A far more productive approach is to begin writing your own positive affirmations in the early stages of your personal development journey.

How Can I Write My Own Positive Affirmations?

One of the most important first steps to writing your own positive affirmations involves exploring the reasons behind the affirmations you wish to write.

Your current circumstances are a direct result of your past thinking. Therefore, in order to change your future experiences, you first need to change your current thinking. In this sense, it is helpful to first examine your current beliefs.

Think about the various aspects of your life:

Your career
Financial status
Relationships
Physical and mental health
Spiritual status and so on

As you think about these situations, ask yourself what beliefs they reveal and make a list of these beliefs. If you are experiencing financial problems, your existing belief may be, "I can't stop accumulating debt." Because you believe in this negative affirmation your outer circumstances have come together in such a way that supports your belief.

Once, you've made your list of the current affirmations floating around in your mind, start by taking each negative affirmation and phrasing it in a positive tone, which should reveal the very opposite thought or action.

Note: It is of utmost importance that you phrase your positive affirmations in the present tense. For example, “I can't stop accumulating debt” becomes, “I will stop accumulating debt today”.

When To Recite Your Positive Affirmations

Often, those who are new to the practice of reciting positive affirmations may feel as if they are lying to themselves, or “fooling themselves” when they recite the positive affirmations they've written. But, the key is to not let negativity creep into your mind as you recite your positive affirmations and to recite your positive affirmations, consistently until your mind begins to embrace the more positive sets of beliefs.

The following are three times when you should recite your positive affirmations:

Recite Your Positive AffirmationsWhenever You Notice a Conflicting Belief

Negative thoughts can creep up on us at any moment. For example, when shopping for clothes you may see yourself in an unflattering angle in the dressing room mirror and your mind may begin its litany of negativity, "OMG! Why am I so fat? I'm never going to be beautiful...etc!” Stop yourself, close your eyes and conjure up an image of yourself, in your favorite dress, looking radiant, healthy, happy and beautiful. Recite your affirmation, "I am loved, healthy, strong, and sexy" with full faith over and over again until no trace of the negative thoughts remains.

Recite Your Positive Affirmations As Often As Possible

Don't take a passive stand and wait for negative thoughts to pop up in your mind before you recite your positive affirmations. Instead, repeat your positive affirmations as often as you can! Write them down and stick them on your bathroom mirror, the dashboard of your car, the headboard on your bed, in your wallet, or any place where you are likely to see them frequently. The key to the extend of the positive affirmations' effectiveness lies in repetition. The more often you repeat your positive affirmations, the more quickly your mind will begin to replace your old, limiting beliefs with empowering new ones.

Recite Your Positive Affirmations With Intense Belief

The most important aspect of effective positive affirmations is the intensity of belief you hold while reciting them. If you simply chant the words mechanically and dispassionately you will not be able to change your existing beliefs. This is because without passion the inner voice saying, "Give me a break, who do you think you're fooling?" will not be drawned out.

However, if you instead choose to believe your new positive affirmations with full conviction, you will begin to challenge the validity of your existing negative beliefs. Two opposing beliefs cannot co-exist in your mind at once. This means that the more you shift your confidence towards your new positive beliefs, your old negative beliefs will fade away and eventually cease to exist. When that happens, your physical circumstances will also change in order to support your new positive beliefs.
